Well a couple of days ago, I was handling my Albino Desert King and wondering why he hadn't shed for me since I got him. All conditions were right, good humidity, temps right, and feeding ok. When I flipped him over I noticed fine red peppery stuff on his belly and I FREAKED...oh S*&^, We've got mites. Closer examination discovered that it was in fact not mites but instead a bad shed that allowed him to get impaction from the expandable forest bark.
I set forth to clean him up, first a 1/2 hour romp in the bath, then a good solid working of mineral oil, then two hours picking off old shed and then a treatment of hypoallergenic moisture therapy..
With all this man handling, non stop I might say, the little guy calmed right down, (no musking..and this is a first). Frankly I think he liked it as I picked him up yesterday and he didn't so much as exhibit a single mean streak and I didn't get musked....

Bonus...:D

Just thought I would share this with you

I'm glad that everything is fine :) My corn doesn't have mites or impaction or anything but hasn't shed in a month! I'm still waiting...
