Had some good light today, and thought that it would be nice to take some pics of my little guy in natural lighting... I still haven't come up with a name for him, any suggestions? LOL :) I'm kinda hoping for something that's unisex, since he's not old enough to be sexed yet...

Let me know what you think :)

That's a pretty cool looking dude. If you don't mind me asking, where'd ya get it? The dorsal markings are a really neat color.

Hi Sony,

Thanks! I'm definitely happy with him :) The outlines on the dorsal markings used to be a darker colour, I think that he's starting to change....
I bought him from Chris Marshell (awesome guy! :))... he was farm bred in Indonesia though, he came into Canada last fall. Chris said that he was really impressed with the shipment, it was very clean and all the animals have done great like my little guy :) According the the farm he was produced from a breeding of Biak locale parents, but I don't have any paperwork, so I guess he's a "Biak type" ;) He's been very well behaved so far though, despite all the blood that he drew from Chris while he was living with him! LOL :)

well regardless of what he is, he sure is very very nice looking. and for a farmed chondro, it looks excellent. the change im sure will be really neat.

names off the top of my head;
Grumpy, coil, may, Dawn, gravel, yellah, slot eye, roomie, chance,
Duff, Fudd, Becks, zippy, zigzag, ziggy, dream, tweak, rally, nate,

Nice snake, I want one so bad. How much did you pay?

Yeah Sony, I fell in love with him at first sight... from what I've seen/heard from Chris, the farm that he came from is pretty reputable. I've seen pictures of their breeding facilities, and they looked as nice and clean as any breeders that I've seen... My next chondro is definitely going to be CB from a north american breeder, but I couldn't have asked for a healthier farm bred than this guy :) No bugs, and eats like a champ... Can't wait to see his colour change, it should be awesome!

Mason, thanks for the name suggestions :)

LOL Rachel... yeah, can't steal his name ;) Besides, I'd feel rather silly calling a fully grown chondro "gummyworm" ;) :D

Wasuki would be a good name. A little indonesian myth. God Wasuki became a snake which ringed around Mount Mandara. All the gods and giants went in turn pulling the head and the tail of the snake until Mount Mandara spun, so it stirred the ocean. The rest of the myth could probably be found online.

Colonel -- did you mean to say Jen? ;) If so, I'll eventually be breeding GTPs, but at this point I've just got the one little guy, who'll be a yearling this summer...

Reverend -- that *is* a cool name! If I hadn't (finally -- LOL :)) managed to pick something out, that definitely would've been in the running... I like names that have some background to them... Thanks for the suggestion :)

Thanks guys :)

No kidding, eh? I've never had this much trouble naming anything before -- LOL :) It literally has taken me 6 months, but he's finally got a name... Kaehne. Now I just need to decide how I want to pronounce it... hehe. "Kane" or "Kay-en".... more decisions ;)
