Just wondering about the size an adult pair of ATB's would need.

Thanks!

A 35-40gal tall should be enough.

What about a 50 gallon that is 36" X 16" X 20"
L W H

Would that be alright for an adult pair?

That's not very high... can you put it on its size so it is 36H?

I'll have to see what I can do. Or check into another aquarium.

What would be the minimum dimensions an aquarium to house to adult ATB's should be? L X W X H

24 x 24 x 36 would be okay.

And if I could possibly turn it on it's end to make it 36" tall, would that work or would it be too small?

It should be okay, but not if you have two big adults. For two regular or small adults, it should be okay, but the bigger the better.

Sounds good!

What would you classify as "big" adults. For both male and female? and what would you consider average size for both male and female?

I'm not sure what exactly would be classified as "large", but your tank would be bare minimum for an average sized pair. You should consider maybe building one? That way you can get something that controls humidity better than a tank.

I have my adults induvidually in 12x12x16 BARRS cages. I know the guy I got mine from has his breeders in a 4 feet tall by 4 feet wide by 2 feet deep enclosure. He uses that enclosure strictly for breeding.

Just FYI my ATB (who passed away) did terrible in a aquarium. I had him in one, and he wasn't eating, among a thousand other issues. Some very good advice from a good person told me to move him into a rubbermaid.

It made a 100% change in his problems. He started eating, on his own.....and doing all types of snake things. It was amazing.

I would build your own cage, or use something else. Tanks just can't have the proper ventilation needed by tree species (ATBs do enjoy the groud lots) and its impossible to keep humidity constant and higher than a cornsnake say.
