Help!!!!! Please

Hi i have a Blood python and i just got him a short time ago and he will not eat at all. when i got him i think he had a bit of a RI but it seems to be doing alot better but he just wont eat. I keep him in a big rubber-maid with a under tank heater and his humidity is at about 60% he has a hide box news paper flooring freah water daily. And i try not to bother him to much as i read that they stress out quite easy so i am looking to all of you for some help on what is causeing this and what i should do.

P.S This is my first Blood python and i have not had the experience of dealing with some problem they can get from stress and other thing's

I was Told to put the snake in a pillow case with a f/t rat and just leave it over night is that a good idea?

No Adam the one i was going to sell you was one that i got in on trade and was healthy i was never really into Blood pythons but after i sold that one i got this one for my self along with it's problems:(

Try the pillow case thing with a dead rat. Also try dead and live prey. A friend of mine has a blood that only eat live mice. Increase the temp and humitity just before you offer food. Make sure the temp is in the mid to high 80's. I cover my entire cage with a blanket when mine eats. Good luck, potts:}

where did you get it from?? ask them what they were feeding it, also how they were. its not uncommon for bloods etc to take a long time to settle into their new homes before they feed. this is more common if they are put into bigger homes than they are used to.
