NEVER force feed a BP!!!!!!!
I have one ball that get bite a few time from live food (before i had him).
So when i got him he just refuse any kind of food (dead, fresh kill and live). I waited but then he get skinny so i had no choice to force him, after a few session of force feeding, i just put the mouse on his nose and he take it. He did a few strike after this but he will never eat if it's not from my hand. It's now more than a year, i just put the mouse on he's nose (from my hand) and he will eat. You can see pic of him in my photo gallery eating on me. That's a exception it's normally not good to do force feeding, i did wait about 1 month 1/2 and he was not eating and really, really skinny i think he did stop before i got him.

i came back from my pet store, (reptile pet store) they seem to know a lot of snakes and reptiles so i think they're trustable
anyway, one of the employees say that a few had to be force fed... i'll see if any of;em arent force fed...

If the pet store is not specialising in reptiles or if the person dos not own any reptiles dont trust any thing they try to fill your head with. Don't forget they are there to make $$$ and realy couldent care less what hapens to the animal after it is in your house cause if it dies they just get a chance to sell you another one.
here is a example
Act 1:
You: hi my snake is not eating now what should I do.
Pet store: here BUY this roadent they cant resist them and try to feed it live so the animal gos into hunt mode.
sounds like a well educated person right but is all BS.
you should be going to a vet with fecals to see if there is any internal perasites and also reading a bunch of books to see if in the wild the perticular fasts at that time of year.
Act 2:
You: my snake stil did not eat ant now it was biten by that rodent you sold me now what should be done.
Pet store: Well there is a product in the 3rd row on the second shelf in the reptile section lets see here it is. Ok now place this tube down your snakes mouth and down it's throght and inject it down into the stomac. OH ya dont wory about the bit they get worst in the wild it will heal up nicely.
Act 3: (2 weeks latter)
You: hey you over there last week my snake had green $#!T growing from the bite marks and that stuff you sold me made a huge gass like pocket in my snake stomac and I couldnot get rid of it and my snake died 2 days ago. What do you have for sale today I have a empty tank I want to fill.
As you can see all the info was given in a educated fashione but was all fawls. That is alwase how it down cause they just want you to keep buying and buying.
And for thows of you that are shaking your head and saying that I know nothing you are wrong cause i worked in a pet store and that was what i was told to do needles to say I was fierd for telling to many ppl to go see a vet and stop asking me. I did not want the resposibilaty of all the dead animals.
PS: the YOU is used in a general sence dont want to single you out from the rest of the group
