Very pretty girl. Is she bred to one of similar pattern and what kind of patterns do you expect from your breedings? Do the black variables ever turn up from patterned ones, or are they only from black to black?
I find these guys fascinating with the variety of color and pattern that can turn up in offspring. They have such nice temperments too - I don't know why they aren't more popular as pets - feed well, pretty and very nice moderate adult size.
Congrats on the eggs and best of luck with babies,

Thanx everyone :) 13 is a good sized clutch. I have two more females ready to lay. All three females were bred by two males one of them is Black the other is a lot like the female pictured (buckskin??)
The other two females are milk snake phase and a black. So I really do not know what I am gonna get????
Mark (crimsonking) do you know what I should hatch??
Last year the babies resembled their mothers, however I did not have the black male in the mix.
Vanderkim I could not agree with you more!! these guys are just a pleasure to work with:) :)

With Thayeri, it's like Christmas! I can never wait! Adding the black guy to the mix should've upped the possibilities of getting more black babies, but I'm not certain. What I find interesting is that you almost never see a really "almost black" one, or a mixed pattern of "milksnake and leonis" together on the same snake, like Cal. kings sometimes are. Either they are or they're not. I bred my female that looks much as the one above to a very peachy male. Can't wait.

Congratulations! Let us know what you get when they hatch out :D

They are great! How big is she?
Also if i posted some pics of a pair are you guys able to tell me what phase they are? One looks like a milk, other looks like a grey band (sort of).
Nice pics.

She is about 34 inches.
sounds like the one could be buckskin and the other milksnake but post a pic everyone can play.
