I still cant believe how awesome that cage looks! you're boa looks liek shes really enjoying herself in there!
Wow thats really nice to give her so much room to get out and about in. Really nice! Cute snake too!

Very pretty girl... love her tail colour! Looks like she loves her home! One thing that concerns me however is the bare lamps... snakes are notoroius for wrapping themselves around bulbs and burning themselves to death

You are right about that..im thinking of a way to prevent that but im not yet sure how.
If i would put something like gauze but the gauze itself would become incredibly hot itself too, maybe even hotter than the lamp...
What would be the best way?

FireFoz,

But why wouldnt the fence become hot as wel?
I'm not sure about this but I believe the "screen" is safer because it isn't as hot as the actual bulb, but mostly because the snake has a much harder time wrapping itself around a screen cover than a bulb.
My 2 cents :)

pixi is right i whent through the same problem ....i just made one out of construction mesh its cheap and lasts forever!
Hi Firefoz,
Love the interior decor in your enclosure, it must have taken you a long time to make.
Here is a pic of a homemade wire guard. The guard is to prevent your boa from wrapping itself around the bulb and burning itself, as well potentially shattering the bulb and getting cut. You are right, the wire guard does get hot, but nowhere near as hot as the naked bulb itself.
