I once blew air up my laborador retriever's nose so her lips flapped. She didn't care too much for that. I'm thinking a snake wouldn't like it anymore and may react differently than sneezing...

I have no good reasoning for doing it, I just did. And frankly, it was funny. I cuped my hand in a C shape around her nose/mussle and just blew (no inhailing action occured). Her lips just flapped and flapped. Again it was funny to me, but I don't think she cared for it. Picture someone blowing up your nose. Also note, she was a lab. She has big lips.
Ok, I'll hang my head in shame. (but it really was funny...)

I'm pretty sure that in the picture, he is trying to kiss the snake. They do it some countries - perform with their cobras, and the most exciting part for the audience is when the person kisses the cobra on the nose.

Yup... that's about it. I can only respect cultural practices to certain degrees... if they want to risk their lives like that I have no problems with it (provided it won't bring ill light to the battling herp scene), but when they start disresepcting the animals to that extent. Snakes don't care for our company in the first place... handling them gently is invasive enough... and I do realize the irony in my stating that, but most of us keepers do try to make an honest effort in <u>minimizing</u> the stresses we impose... but I cannot imagine how threatening it would be to have this big human fly up in my little face if I were a snake... I'm sure they think they are going to be eaten everytime :eek:
