man, there are tons of answers here;
im at work and have like 30 seconds, so ill give one and let everyone else add on as they see fit

1. boas give birth to live young, pythons lay eggs

Actually .. doesn't the calabar python have live birth?

no the Calabar BOA lays eggs ;) (yeah yeah, still under contention, blah blah blah)

There is also another sand boa that lays eggs. EBV has the first recorded captive hatching of them in the states :D

Is it true that pythons have heat pits and boas don't?

Emerald Tree boas and Amazon Tree boas have heat pits... so that distinction doesn't work either ;)

they both look the same, isnt there a difference in their looks?

they dont look the same.look at a retic and look at a red tail boa, i dont think they even look close to the same.
