For Julie Banighen it should read Tim and Julie Banighen. I had originally only inquired about a table, hadn't actually asked for one, but it's alright 'cause we've got stuff to sell anyways! It was a shock to see my name there:D Our company name is Empire Reptiles so you can add that to your list if you like:D I would love to meet up with ssnakess members at the Glenmore. I'll be the short one and Tim will be the tall one!:D Kinda vague but that's all I can tell you.

I might make it down to Cow Town on Saturday night and maybe even show up. I have a party to attend on Saturday that is west of Edmonton so it would make for a long drive.

Vanan will be there, harassing everyone we can. Especially SCALES Zoo, who we're making a special trip to visit and Amanda from Year of the Dragon.

Vanan is instantly recognizable. Tall, and dark. Me white and short. I'm sure there won't be that many east indian/spanish couples to confuse us with! Maybe I'll wear my WSPCR T-shirt.

Mark, I'm sooooo excited!! Like you wouldn't believe, there was a bit of a chance, I couldn't make it b/c of work, but that's all cleared up. The best part is Tuesday the 13th is my B-day and this trip is like a b-day present. (I also accept any herp presents you'd like to give folks!) ;)

This'll be our second show of the season. So exciting!!

I can't wait to see Anette, Rob McRobbie, and Mr. Bilou himself, plus Walter! Anyways, I'd better settle down, before I blow my head off.

We will be at the Glenmore on Saturday as well.

We will hopefully also get in early enough on Friday to get set up and be at the glenmore to see who is around.

I've got a big project at work and can't skip much of it - Katt and Vanan are coming out before the show, and we have to pick up some stuff at the airport on Friday.

Anyways, make sure to stop in at our table, say hi, see some of the reptiles we bought - and get ready for Saturday night.

Ryan, if you haven't made revervations at the Glenmore, you know you're always welcome to crash at our place. Really it is the best hide-a-bed I've ever slept on (trust me, I've spent a couple of nights on it). And it will save you enough $$ to buy just one more animal.

Hey all just to let you know i will not be able to attend this spring show this year but am planning to go to it in the fall. so i hope you all have fun and i guess ill have to meet all of you at another time.
Remember top take lots of pics and start a thread on it so when i get home i can look at them all :)

Unfortunatly we won't have a table :( I had two friends come down from up north and almost bought everything! We have a little but most of the our stuff is too young or still in the incubator. So I don't think it would be worth it to have a small one. It would look half a**ed. We are still going to attend though and look forward to seeing all of you!:D

We just talked to Shiela at Scales Zoo and she offered us a corner of their table. So we have decided to take them up on the offer. We just thought that if there is limited space we shouldn't take up a whole table with only a few items. See you all there.

Hey Tim & Julie, having everything sold before the show is a blessing. I'm in the same boat & couldn't be happier. No catering to customers wanting snakes, just hanging out & displaying animals etc. What I'm saying is you should bring down stuff to display on a table anyhow as we would all enjoy seeing it. Anyway you'll have more time to see & meet people by not having one to watch over.

I just heard from Vanan/Katt also, all I can say is it sucks to be you. See you in the Fall or at Red Deer? Hope so!

Oh & Greg whats this 2 sleeps thing? I'm too excited to sleep! This is my first show of the year as I went back to bed the morning of the Edmonton show after seeing the fresh foot & a 1/2 of snow when I got up. Oh & not to jinx us or anything, but I'd say chances of snow again this weekend will be high. After all its a Long weekend & a reptile show, LOL Mark I. - GONE SNAKEE!

I think sharing a table will work out though that way everyone gets a break!

For any Calgarians...

What's the best way to find/get to the show...I remember last year I tried to take a direct route and got all messed up in some industrial area.

Isn't it pretty much right in a residential area? We brought a map with us and little to no problems in finding it.

Mike.,....take Glenmore Tr. right up into the east,.....and i believe its two major intersections past Memorial Dr.

The easiest way to come from the north is:
Hwy 2 south turns into Deerfoot Trail as it enters Calgary, you continue to follow it south until Glenmore Trail (which is quite a ways south of Memorial Dr). Take Glenmore Trail East to Ogden Road. The Legion is a block north on Ogden Rd from Glenmore Trail. The Glenmore Inn is easy too spot & is located on Glenmore Trail & Ogden Road if you can find it you are less than a block from the show at the Legion. Everything south & of there is an industrial area (Foothills Ind. Park). This is the easiest most direct route from north of Calgary Mike.

For you people coming in on the TransCanada #1 either from the West or the East do so until you hit Deerfoot Trail & then take it south & follow the above directions.

For you folks coming from the South as you enter Calgary in the south from Hwy #2 it turns into Macleod Trail. You can follow it north all the way to Glenmore Trail & then go East on Glenmore & follow the above instructions. Or as soon as you hit the city you can take one of a # of mains (Hwy 22X, Canyon Meadows Drive, Anderson Rd, Southland Drive) to the east to connect you to the Deerfoot Trail Northbound & follow it to Glenmore Trail east & then follow the above.
It is real easy to find, but if you do have problems (anyone) feel free to call me on my cell (403)708-6705 as I'll have it at the show & can "talk you in". Mark IsBell - GONE SNAKEE!
