I hardly ever take pics of these guys. I was taking pics of my Red Axanthics and after I put everyone away from the group shot I was looking around the room and realized that I forgot about the Bandeds (I do that all the time!). So, here are some pics.

F2 Banded Female produced from Breeding my original Banded male back to one of his F1 Daughters.

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Bandeds/Banded%20F2%20Female%206668.JPG">

This is my original banded male with one of his F2 Daughters. He is both banded and hypo melanistic (which appears to not be inheritable at this time).

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Bandeds/Banded%20Male%20F2%20Female%206675.JPG">

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Bandeds/Banded%20Male%20F2%20Female%206677.JPG">

Here is the Original Banded male, F1 Daughter (mother of the F2 Bandeds) and F2 Daughter. I have always called the F1 Daughter a "regular", however, her bred back to her father produced 1.2 outstanded Bandeds and 1.1 busy patterned normals.......So, maybe she is a banded???

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Bandeds/Banded%20F1%20F2%206679.JPG">

Group shot of some of my Bandeds. I have quiet a few offspring from this line (in around 12 animals). On the left of the pic you have the original Banded male with 1.1 F2 offspring. On the right of the pic you have 0.2 F1 Offspring (mother of the F2's on the bottom and the best looking F1 female I've produced on the top). It seems that all of the nice looking F1 bandeds were all males!.....so it was nice to get a nice looking female out of the bunch.

<img src="http://coreywoods.com/Bandeds/Banded%20F1s%20F2s%206684.JPG">

This season I had 6 adult females from my Banded male (f1 daughters) in the breeding group, however, I only had 2 females bred back to their banded father (the mother of the F2's and a nice looking banded female which was not pictured). The other females were bred with my other higher end males. At this time both females have not ovulated so time will tell if I produce any this year or not.

Enjoy the pics,
Corey

I'm not sure if I will produce any this season, however, if I do I will let everyone know. My banded male is a breeding machine, however, I can only dedicate him to a couple females each season.

Thanks for the kind words!

I duno the diferens but they look like normals that dosent mean i dont like them but it makes me mad when reguler ball costs $200 when it a little brighter or has a blemish.

Dude those are CLEARLY not normals. If you think they are then you need to spend a little more time looking at Ball Pythons closely.

My Normal:

Corey's Banded:

That is a TOTAL differance. I would pay the 200 or more if you ask me.

Why would what anyone charges for their snakes make you mad? Don't buy them if you don't like them or your eyes perceive them to be the same.

I think he has a right to mad. After all that's the beauty of life to be and chose and want. Perhaps he'd like a certain snake, but due to the high price tag, he's mad. I'd be and frequently I am!

You can wax on about the unfairness of life, so? Being mad is a way to deal with it.

Right, that's great and all what your preferences are, but why state it on a guy's thread who's trying to show his animals that he's proud of? It doesn't make sense unless you are trying to flame. Its like me going on the Bearded Forum and telling everyone there they are dolts and that they should keep real lizards etc etc ( I would never do that by the by). Its just not classy to do it.

Make sense?

Hey man for real, I love the snakes . I love all animals but can we just dont them by there color or padern sell them for the same price. Its like saying i treat a blak person beter because i think ther skin is prety but whie people arent, so i treat them worse. [i dont feel that way i hate every body equaly, get it.lol.]

You jumped points and you don't even know why you said what you said if you ask my opinion.

I doubt anyone will be discussing this anymore with you as there is no point.

If nobody charged more for the morphs, then there would be a lot less of them around. I think its good to have the price variation. And if you cant pay the 200 for the snake, how are you going to pay for its cage,food,vet,etc... Its like buying a car... Putting on fancy wheels and painting it and all is going to raise the price quite a bit, but all it is doing is making it more visually appealing. Whos going to paint it for free? Whos going to go through the trouble of breeding morphs for free?
ahhhh....its early for me....and im not going to bother to read it over. hope i made sense...just adding my opinion.

Personally, I'd pay more for the bandeds in Coreys photos.
ifferent looking ball pythons look great together.

I pick what price I want to sell our snakes for - if you want to pay the price, I'm happy to keep them, or sell them to someone who is happy to pay the price.

Why complain about the price of a certain animal? If you can't afford to buy it, then so be it.

I wish piebalds were only $500 - then I'd buy some. They aren't $500 - so I don't buy any, but I also don't complain about the high price of piebalds - as there are enough people willing to pay their current price to keep the price there.

Even so called "normal" ball pythons all look different. Some are more attractive than others. I would pay a higher price for nicer looking ones, and I would (and have) sell / sold nicer looking ones for a higher price the ones that I find less attractive.

What I find kind of funny, is that Corey never even mentioned a price for his banded balls. How does anyone know that he is selling them for a higher price. I'm sure he will ask a higher price for those, and if no one buys them (i would pay more for them personally) - he will be happy to keep them.

Nice words , And i did jump to conlusions about that. That just how i feel i see one thing and i think of other things that are involved with it. 1 thing nobody ever said they couldnt aford it. If they chevy brang back the metro and put new custom colors on it and sold it for $50,000 would you actualy biuy it? But i cant say that because with breeding your puting time [years] And efort just to make the perfect snake, my hearts go out to all the breeders.:D
