I was wondering if anyone with a blue tongue could share their lizards eating habits. and maybe give some advice. My blue tongue used to eat a wide variety of foods, - cooked chicken, boiled eggs, chicken flavored cat food, and night crawlers, in addition to fruits and mixed veggies. Lately, all he will eat is the cat food, fruits, and veggies. No other protein anymore. The other thing is, on a twice a week feeding schedule, he only eats a couple of bites each time. Is this amount consistent to what other blue tongue owners experience?

Par for the course!
Gnerally (as I am sure you have seen) BT's are ravenous! However, they can, and do go through periods of stubborness.
As long as it is maintaining a healthy weight, do not worry. A little extra supplements during this time will do well. Personally, I've had a BT take a 6 month hunger strike with no long term effects. As long as they are healthy to start with, and you husbandry is sound, you should have nothing to worry about.

Umm, does cat food not contain plenty of protein?
