Hi everyone,
Here is one of my new L. g. nigritus.

This is the male. Sorry for the poor pic, but getting good shots of a totally black animal seems easier said than done.
Nice animals though. Should have got some years ago!
Thanks for looking!

Very nice and looks like no white scales at all. Know what you mean about taking photos of black snakes! I expect you will really enjoy them. We have only one, but he has the most stable temperment of all our snakes. He was a rescue through the Edmonton club and recovered from multiple broken ribs when he was just 14 inches long. He is now almost 3 feet and despite a major deformity in his back he eats well and is incredibly tolerant. Their blue bellies are really pretty. Sounds like you have a breeding pair, good luck with them.

You're right, Mark; they ARE excellent animals.
They both have a tiny bit of white under their chins.
I like, I like!

Without a doubt mex blks are one of my favourite getulas, if not the favourite. The shine, the black, the oily colours on the belly. Their big black scales on their heads. The wonderful temperaments. The smoothness. It all adds up to a really great king!!
Very Nice Mex.Black!! How old is he? I have the same problem with Raven, If the lightings not just right, you have to adjust the @$#% out of the pics just to see what your looking at!! LOL
Love 'em
I also have the worst time trying to get pics of my Mexican Black. They are just too black!
Great snake! I need to find a lady friend for my guy one of these days.

You wanna know what is crazy? I have bred these for some years and like an idiot never kept back extra females! You can bet I have a few now. My original female is over 10 yrs. so she's retiring. At least I'll have some eggs soon from my best female this year. She's in her pre lay blue now.
