My little guy has gone *nuts* lately!! He's slithering around his cage in circles constantly, knocking everything all over the place. He's been making so much noise it keeps me up at night! Could he be in the mood for love?? Maybe he got a sniff of the great outdoors when I opened my window a few days in a row? This is very starange behavior for him, so I really don't know what to think. He even snapped at me when I went to pick him up the other day, and he won't sit still in my hand...very weird!

If he's an adult male, chances are he smells love in the air. Aside from that, I do notice some of my female's going spazzo at various times of the year too and not always are they hungry. Something to be monitored and studied I say. Is he eating? cos amorous males most likely go off feed.

Interesting! Mine's been doing the exact same thing. He actually bit me the other day.

No, Mark. No unusual reaction except for the itching which I always get when nipped. He didn't really hang on; he just grabbed me, squeezed once and then let go.

He's eating just fine. I think mine would have bit, too, when he snapped at me...but I'm much faster than my little piggie!

When I was in FL and the AC went out in the midst of summer it got unbelieveably hot and humid in the house (to the point of where we finally turned off their heat lights beacsue it was hotter in the room than in their tanks). I've never seen all our snakes (including the hog) more active in their lives! You said the windows were open, could it have changed the climate in their tansk and made him act out? That's my idea.
