How to tell if female is gravid

I have a 2 year old female i think she is gravid as i have observed her and my male mating. her main body is about 1 inch high by 1 1/2 inch wide in the middle. How can i tell if she is gravid as she is coming up for a shed and i dont know if this is her pre lay shed. I have tried to pick her up but she is very moody at the moment and she looks as if she is going to bite me. She looks a lot larger than my male corn but i am still not sure.
Any help would be apreciated.
