Here is my one year old male, Rex.
He was sold to me as a normal.
What morph do you think he is?

Nice looking boy you've got there! :) I'd say high yellow, reduced pattern (hypo)....

What does it takes to be a hypo?
What's the difference beetween high yellow reduced spotted and a hypo?
Where is the border between high yellow and hypo?

Hypo means hypomelanistic -- which is the same thing as reduced spotting essentially :) After reading that, it should be fairly self-explanatory that a hypo is a gecko with less spots than usual. "Normal" spotting covers a good part of the body, your boy doesn't have much spotting on his back at all, which is why I would call him reduced spotted/hypo...

High yellow is a color variation as opposed to an amount of spotting variation -- so there is no "border" between hypo and high yellow, they're completely different things.
Hence, you can have a "hypo" high yellow, or a "hypo" tang...

Clownfishie is absolutly right. Only that "in the buisness" hypos are leos with 1-10 spots on the body and super hypos are leos with no spots on the body. a reduced spotting would be a leo with less spots than average.
If Rex keeps loosing the spots he will be a hypo very soon!!

And I might add lavender banded to his morph description! If you could get us a clearer pic of the purple/lavender bands on his back I could confirm that.
