Got a 50/50 California King snake, so i decided to research on it and ended up here :)
hes about as long as my 20 gallon tank and hes feeding on pinkies.
does anyone think i should switch off to a larger tank so that he can roam around more freely? I'm using under tank heater with reptile carpet and 100W light bulb on one end.
should i purchase a 60 gallon tank?

hello welcome!!!! no sorry hav no advice ethier!!! lol good luck
welcome!
Im sure the snake would appriciate any space you give it, but I think 60 is sorta overkill...but hey more space can never hurt!
If you want to give it a little more space try a 35 or 40 gallon!

Hey Welcom to the forums
Hi Yoeun, welcome to sSnakeSs. I don't have a Cal king but I do have a prairie king (~3') and we're keeping it in a 30 stout. You can also check out the king snake section in the forums.

The under the tank heater is good enough cuz most snakes do not need light.
So a 20 gal. tank is good enough.
