He shed the other day so we took a few pics. He is nearly 2 yrs old and just over 5' :D I posted one pic over in the pythons forum as an example of what the macro feature can do... here a few more:

Thanks for looking. Hopefully his girlfriends will be just as high contrast as he is. I know Burm Baroness' female is just as pretty... I have another friend with a sub-adult female and a baby female. The sub-adult is looking good so far....only time will tell on the baby. Breeding will occur fall of next year if Baroness' female isn't up to size yet this year. :)
Now that is sexy great lookin snake oh well I live in Canada so they are not on my gonna get real soon list (but there is always hoping hey Santa hear my plea) Awesome looker you got there

I'm hoping my girl will have herself a nice growth spurt before fall........lol. She's a little over 5ft, and her weight is great. Just like for her to be about a ft longer. But definitely, the next fall, for SURE!! He's BEAUTIFUL!

LOL Vic *blush*
Xetox - Bco generally go from (in USD) $75 for a 'grey' neonate up to $150-$200 for a 'maxx pink' (WHY, for Pete's Sake, has always stumped me). Adults will be $300-$500 depending on size and color. Greys usually turn black with white markings like my male, some will have darker brown markings...almost invisible. High and Maxx pinks turn brown with light brown to white markings, very high contrast. They look as if they have rolled in the mud. I will never understand why people would do that.. oh well. I personally prefer the black/white high contrast. To me that is what an occidentalis SHOULD look like.
If I was still in CA I would have nabbed Fred Albury's 747. I KNOW he would trust me with her.
Mad - Apophis still has some growing to do, LOL. He will be a good sized male, I guess around 8'. Females reach 10-12' and are rather heavy bodied :D
To get an idea, here is Apophis at 7 months old:

Here is a Maxx pink neo (one of 747's offspring):

I tried to locate a good pic to demonstrate what these turn into... I'm not having a lot of luck, LOL. The best I can do for now is to tell you to go here (http://bernardocarey.free.fr/ze_occidentalis.htm)
and say look at the first pic. The site might take time to load. be warned ;)
