Does anyone know how difficult it is to take care of baby red-eyes? There is one at the pet store where we got the others and it is no bigger than a nickel when it is asleep. We desperately (well me mostly) want to get him as he is being kept in a tank with a couple of african bell frogs and a white's tree frog! We would like to get him and give him a better chance than what he has now in that tank. We are wondering if there is anything different in taking care of a baby then taking care of an adult, except for food size.

Thanks for any help you can give us!!!

Matt

I think that babies should be grown up in something small and simple. When I got my babies i used a med critter keeper, a small deli cup for water, a small potho, and no substrate. I learned the hard way, ALWAYS keep a clean declorinated water dish in the cage, day and night. Those things can dehydrate really fast. Hope it all works out for you.

Paper towel substrate is another good thing to do. Keep that wet for moisture :)

Any more questions... post 'em up boss :)

use a large deli cup or a medium critter carrier to house them in, paper towels as a substrate, feed them 1/4 crickets, mist the PAPER TOWEL ONLY every day and the walls well once a week with dechlroinated water. As soon as the baby redeye dirties his cage, change it immediately. Hope this helps :)
