Hey! Great pics! I like the looks of the two. I can't really see the leos back but judging by his legs, I would say he is a high yellow.
Great looking Geckos!

look on her back, we can see 2 orange lines running down her body (there faint but I can see them especiallyo n the second pic.).

She was sold to me as a normal.
cya,

Wow, that's a beautiful pair! They look so fat and healthy :]
The female looks high yellow (very high!) and reduced pattern too - you got a good deal on her if she sold for a normal price!

Yea.. she looks like a nice normal..
BTW, is she gravid? Or is she just really fat?
SnowSnake

Nop not gravid yet. The female doesnt seem receptive! When the male approches she doesnt let him "get it on". So I dont know if i'll get some eggs soon :-/.

I'd say that she's a nice golden reduced pattern. Nice healthy leos you have:D

could the orange lines on her back be an orange stripe trait?

Well, the tangerines had to have started somewhere, so it's possible that if you breed her to another leo that has similar colors that you could get more orange on the babies. I think it would take a while though since there's only a little orange there. Some of my normals and golden reduceds have orange like that but their babies don't have much more than the adults. Anything seems possible with these cute little guys. Are you gonna get more leos eventually? What's your favorite phase?

I'll get 3 more in about 1-2 months. I like the blizzards, tangerine albinos, super hypo tangerine baldies and I like HQRs' red stripes!
I think I'll try to get a clutch of male from her and breed her to the one that has the most tangerine.

Genetics is really fun hey? I love pairing up my pretty little leos and seeing what they produce. I'm hoping to produce some blizzards this year, maybe I'll get lucky and get some black blizzards out of them! My female tangerine albino has laid 6 eggs for me so far and they are looking pretty fertile. I hate waiting for the eggs to hatch, I can't wait to see my little babies!:D And I agree, HQR's reds are amazing, beautiful, awesome, aaaaaaaaaa...I wish I could get one!

do you have a web site or pics of your leo family?
Tim and Julie B
04-26-03, 08:22 PM
No, I don't, but I'm gonna get a real good digi cam very soon and post some leo collage photos to show them off! I wish I could post some good pics for you to see!:D

I'll wait t'ill you get one! What morphs do you keep? how many do you have and what are your expected offsprings?

Okay, this could take a while...I have patternless, pastels, lavender albinos, hi-yellows, tangerine albino, regulars, golden reduced patterns, hypo tang, hypo hi-yellow, stripe, jungle, hi-yellow jungle, black blizzard, het for blizzard, carrot tail. On Monday I am getting an anerystic in a group of five. I hope to get offspring of each phase I currently keep. In May at the Calgary spring show I am getting 9 more from Canadian Captive Bred. Thanks Dan! It is a group of babies consisting of 3 DH Patternless Rainwater albinos, 1 Tremper Jungle albino, and 5 Hi-yellows of various hets. Yup, I'm addicted. Even though I breed and sell them, I name every single one and hate to see them go. Tim insists that I can't keep them all!LOL:D

Yeah, I started with one as a B-Day gift from Tim, I'd been wanting one for a while, but wasn't sure i wanted to spend $100 on a little lizard.(pet store price about 4 years ago) Ever since I became hooked. Considering I have 38 eggs already, I'll be up to my armpits in baby leos in no time! And luvin' every minute of it!:D

hehe, Tim must be in his corner regretting what he gave you as a B-day present! Now I bet he doesnt get as much attention as before you had your leos! :PP
Good luck with your eggs!!

Even more attention! We probably spend about 1-2 hours cleaning cages every day! Keep in mind that Tim has about 19 turtles/tortoises and several more coming! Not to mention all his snakes, spiders, scorpions, water dragons, and we share some uromastyx and beardeds! It's a zoo!

They are really nice! Wow...look at 'em tails....they are HUGE! I love chubby leos :) She looks like a high yellow. I definatly do not think that the parents were redstripes but she is veryy beautiful!

she came from hypo parents, she has a tangerine sister. when I go to see them I think the male has a very chubby tail but the females' tail doesnt seem too big. But on the pic I see that they both have big tails! heh
