I was considering creating a website with as many herp caresheets as possible. Something like herpcare.com.
If anyone is interested in giving me a hand with the costs and construction etc, do let me know!

Thanks

I was thinking something even bigger, with a search and everything, a site JUST for caresheets.

And with a really easy URL to remember, even for people just trying to guess.

To make something bigger then Caplan's site? Well....it will take years to make lol. Good points, herpcare is a good and easy to remember name. Also the name itself refers to what it contains. Seek companies that will want to advertise their products. This will reduce the economic issue that you will see increasing rapidly.

something like that would be great. I know some people complain about melissa's care sheets being inacurate @ best.

Maintaining and keep updating a huge database like that isn't the easiest thing on the world. I couldn't condemn Melissa since her site has offered accurate information to hundreds of herp hobbiests worldwide. I cannot condemn her for some mistakes, i try to cross information.

I agree but this kind of information don't go into deep some times. I extend my herpknoledge reading herp books. Here is a future target for sSNAKESs (herps care sheets) ;)

Yeah, I can find all the information I need, but I KNOW a QUALITY caresheet website would be used by many, especially beginners who haven't yet had the chance to come across ssnakess.com

ya i could help with a lot of the stuff on it, especially images, but will it be like a sister site to ssnakess ?

Why dont you do it through ssnakess then, kill two birds with one stone.
It would be much easier to come across both caresheets and forums if they were ONE rather then 2 different sites.

Talk to jeff, i know hes just dying to fill up our caresheet section.
Plus the webdesign is already there.

I wasn't planning on it being so connected to ssnakess, I guess I'm thinking that this site will be more of a site where anyone just guessing the url could find it and that they wouldn't have to go through ssnakess.

This site is still in the earliest of stages, though, so it really could take any turn.
