Brian, I just got a bunch of these c.b. baby cobras in from S. Africa. Would you say they are baby Banded E. Cobras, or baby Snouted Cobras??? The scientific on the invoice is that of the Banded. (anyone else who may know this?)

Hey Ray I have a question for you.
Why can you get venomous from South Africa but you can't export non-vens? I am still looking for Mehelya.
As far as the cobra goes, can you tell without a scale count since the bands don't come in until they are adults.
Thanks

Who can't get non-venomous? We get them all the time. I was going to do a scale count.

Then why do all the importers that I have talked to say that it is impossible to get my Mehelya capensis? I have been trying for years.

I can't speak for other importers, but we have had them. Most hunters don't bother collecting them.

Ya got me bro, I can't tell.
Hey Ray,
Those are banded egyptian neos. The banding seems to start comeing in when they get to juvi size, at about 2 1/2 ft.
Also, please forgive my tardiness on getting back to your email. Ill shoot you a reply as soon as I can.
Later,

Very nice Ray! Congrats. I can't add to the discussion about identification but I can certainly throw out my share of praise!
Good luck with them,
Trevor
PS
Thanks for answering all my questions in the chat room the other night, hope I wasn't too much of a pain.
