Aww! So adorable! My mo would never let me bring one into the house although as soon as I move out, they will be one of my first choices :D Either a caiman or a monitor. :)

...I got the saltie from Rob few awhile back. Amazing how much porosus and niloticus look so much alike to the untrained eye.

About the freshies, we are trying to keep the ground dry and the pond shallow with bolds of heat around the enclosure but theres just been so much rain and awkward nights Im thinking of just waiting til August and hope that its not to late. Nothin ever goes right..
Last yr, they wanted nothing to do with making babys.. And I know they are seperate sexes, they were sexed by yours truely.
But, I'm sure Ill crack the code soon enough. I'll let ya know how things go.

Hey Zane shouldn't they have a bunch of water so that it is deep
enough for copulation. Last I heard it was about 1.5 to 2 meters?

...I keep the water about 4-6' deep all through out the yr.
Freshies breed and lay through out the dry season. Which is what I'm trying to make it seem like. Hot and dry. The water level after we drain stay at about 1-3' give or take. Given the 3' is the deep part and 1 is the shallow. It's somewhat of a reverse environment then breeding say caimans. Instead of flooding you drought.
Lets hope I succeed this yr..
