Pacing

10 month albino is pacing the cage nonstop at night, which is unusual. Not hungry because I fed her, and i've only put tighter hide boxes in there for her to feel more secure. She's also been trying to get out quite a bit recently. Could she be lookin fer a mate at that age? I've run out of ideas and I don't want her to be too stressed, she almost never tries to get out!

Maybe just spring fever? I honestly can't say. My males did that HEAVILY this year (kings and corns), and my female corn is doing it now because she is about to lay. So I am not sure what other excuse a female would have for doing it.

I'm not really sure either, but Angel has been doing pretty much the same thing. She doesn't really pace, but she has been sunning ALOT more (almost constantly). Which is unusual for her, she's normally a "hider". She's also been stretching to check out the tank top too. Like she's looking for a way out. She hardly ever even climbed her branch let alone looked for a way out. Just something in the air I guess?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is just the season. Are you sure it is a female - has she been confirmed by probing? I had a couple that I bought as females last year that proved to be males when we probed them and that behaviour is certainly more like our males than our females. Our male jungle corn has been just impossible this spring - he is on the go constantly, not eating, continually trying to push his way out. There is one female honduran in the same room and I am sure he is convinced he can get to her. A couple of our yearling corns are almost as bad so likely just that time of year,

Everyone I take her to say shes too small to probe, s I have to wait, while i'm buying a volcano corn to make jungle babies with the king in the future so worst case scenario is theyre both males, no big deal, I just won't breed, but thanks for answering the question guys, whether he or she, it's pretty horny!

Friend Daren probed her today, and she IS a she!!! I'll be able to make jungles after all! :)

I wish someone in my area could do that. No one in courtenay seems to know anything about my snakes or any herps.
