Hi,
Yesterday I put my male with my female and this after-noon I saw that my female was starting to become pinkish where you would normally see the eggs a couple of days after mating.
What do this meen?
Is she preparing some eggs?
Thanks!

Pinkish like this?

That was taken the day before my female laid. How long ago did they mate?
I'm not sure what you mean by pink... it could be irritation, colour (if you have red calci-sand).
IS it possible to get a pic?

no, not pinkish like that. She is pinkish on her belly at that spot. They have been together for almost 1 day.

I use papertowels. its on her sides/belly where she would normally have eggs.

I dunno then.. If they are fighting at all it may be brusing or something. I would seperate them if you see anymore fighting.

its not like if she was scrathed or something. Since there bellies are seethrough a bit I see something pinkish inside.

You can see the similar sized, white lumps on either side of the belly.

But dude.. It's only been 1 day since they have been together? I wouldn't expect much in that amount of time. Wait a couple more weeks and you should see some eggs.

ok, it takes how much time after mating for the female to lay her first clutch?

Not too sure on that one. But I know the span between clutches is anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks. So maybe that is the same for the first clutch.
