Well my grandfather is helping me to build my enclosure. (Ok ok Daan, he is doing most of the work) I had told him we can't do pine or cedar but he forgot and planned the floor of where the reptiles go to be pine plywood. So his solution is to put a layer of Masonite over the pine and then I'll seal around all the edges. Is Masonite ok? I'm not sure what it's made of but it seems like it would be really easy to clean and I might even want to use it for the dividers but I want to make sure it's ok to use before I give him the go ahead. Thanks in advance.

Hey Alicewave,

Masonite is highly compress wood and paper fibre with alot of glue holding it all together. Even after using masonite you would still want to seal it to prevent moisture problems. Why don't you kill two birds with one stone..use arborite instead. Clean, waterproof (once you seal the edges), cheap. Simply cut the panels and glue down with contact cement. Good luck
