View Full Version : Free to good home
I have rescued a 4ft African Rock from the local pet store. It was bought by new owners and they know nothing about snakes (they were gonna let him / her go here in Tennessee). Anyway, He has nice color and is rather feisty. I have no interest or ability to keep a snake that will grow to be 20 feet. I want to find him / her a good home. If you are interested, send me an email (nighthawk@chartertn.net). The person I pick will pay actual UPS overnight shipping and $0.00 for the Rock. You MUST have prior experience with large snakes and a good enclosure for him / her to reside in. I will require a picture of the enclosure and surrounding enviroment. Whoever I pick will not be named here on the forum, but contacted via phone or email. I don't want to piss anyone off, so don't get your feelings hurt if you are not picked. I just want to be sure this little (soon to be big) guy will have a good home and nice life.
***NOTE*** I have lined up a prospective home for him / her locally, but from what I have heard, I doubt these folks have suitable husbandry.

I believe the ARP found a new home. I'm not positive on that, though....

I will very soon. I bought a brand new digital camera (no more film developing for me, Yeah!!). Still working out how to use it and the soft ware. I will post some pics very soon of Diablo, as well as all the others I have.
I used to say that I didn't want a digital camera, but after this last time of picking up the pictures after having them developed, and half of them not comming out very well, I decided that it was time to change my mind.

thats the beauty of digi cams. You know right then and there that the shot came out. also if you're like us and 99% of the stuff you shoot is for the web you save time and money not having to develop and scan photos..
What kind of cam did you get?

I got a Samsung Digimax 201. It says it is a 2.0 megapixels, it has a macro feature (what ever that is) and digital zoom. I admit that I don't know crap about cameras, but I think it will be ok for what I do.

Macro feature is what you use for closeups. Usually, when the macro feature is on, you will see an icon of a flower. This shot was taken with the macro:

The lense was practically touching his nose, LOL Get the idea? Now to take clearer shots of a larger area without using the macro feature, don't get too close. Step away from the subject and use the zoom to put what you want in the picture. If you get too close, the pic will be blurry. :) Have fun, good luck.....and I'm really looking forward to the pics!

Just wanted to let every one know, the AfRock arrived safe, sound, and every bit as fiesty as advertised, LOL. Thanks to Lasher for trusting me to take him in!
I will be posting pics with in the next few days (I sort of got the camera thing figured out!) Just need to let him settle into his new routine for a few days before I start any type of interaction with him. I will also be posting pics of Diablo (the other AfRock I took in).
