Does anyone know what an "accession identification number" is? It's part of an animal ID#, I know that much... for instance the ID# is 06-89-RR... so obviously (to me anyways... LOL :D) the accession identification has to be either the first pair of digits, or the second... but which??
Thanks for any insight you can give, I need to figure this out asap....

I can't say that I know.
Burmies
lol, burmies, you shouldn't answer a post if you don't know. it kind of goes without saying that if you don't respond, you don't know the answer.
Zoe
lol Zoe, I'm with you on this. Burmies: I don't get why you constantly answer threads that aren't relevant to you or without adding any information... Okay, you want more posts under your belt and more stars? Is that it??? You even answered a thread I started that was about me thanking the people I purchased animals from at the show? What gives?
This is just starting to be a real pet peeve for me, there are more and more posts every day that just are useless to read. If you want more stars, find something to write about!!!

I'd have to agree -- don't respond to a thread unless you have something worthwhile to add to it... replying to a thread saying "I don't know" is pointless, and rather annoying to other people...
Pixie; hahaha! You go girl! (P.S. Post #120 for me).

Oh, and in case anyone actually tries to respond to this thread with the answer to my question, thanks in advance -- but I did find the answer :)

I'm curious, what is the answer? and what is it used for? Is it some sort of governtment program to track our animals?

Hey Lisa,
I ended up asking a breeder who uses that kind of ID system for their animals... the accession number in the example I posted above would be the "06" -- the other number is the year -- so 06-89-RR would be hatchling number 6 of 1989, bred by "Ricky Rudey" (or whatever :))...
