Well, we've decided to keep the Rough Green Snake after all. In a couple of weeks, when my Boaphile rack arrives and I can move my boa to his new home, the RGS will be going into a 3' Vision cage. She's in a 10 gallon aquarium right now, with several fake plants lying on the floor to help her feel at home.
Once in the Vision, I plan to use "Forest Bed" litter (peatmoss/dirt-like) and set up a naturalistic tank, but using all silk/plastic. I could use some help on this. I want her to have plants to climb on, but the branches she has now are too floppy to support her weight. Any ideas on how to rig them up so she can climb? Also, is there any way to alter a plastic or ceramic water dish so it looks less plasticy? I really don't want to use a rock dish, they are hard to keep clean.
Thanks for the help!
