Hi. These are our herp. pets. The azureus frogs are my favourites (I know I shouldn't have favourites but I do). They are from Mark, and they are awesome. The pyxie is my husband's. It is cool because it has attitude. The corn snake seems to be our oldest daughter's favourite. She talks to Samantha Snake a lot. The box turtles are King Tuttle and Lady Tuttle. Lady Tuttle is really friendly. In the days before we had children she would follow us from room to room like one of the dogs. The red -eared sliders were our first herps. Lets just say we learned a lot from them. The pictures are in the Gallery.
Thanks for looking,
Tara Garratt
PS. Lisa, thanks for your help. I would never have gotten the pictures posted without your direction!

Does the hard wood floor do any damage to the turtle. ( I love lady tuttle!)

Hi Marylyn101,
Lady Tuttle is a sweetheart!
We don't have a hardwood floor. We took the pictures on top of a towel on the kitchen table. King Tuttle and Lady Tuttle live in a terrarium (4.5 feet long by 2.5 feet wide by 4 feet tall--not that they need the height) in our kitchen. They have about 6 inches of substrate on the bottom. When they used to have "run of the house" it was on linoleum. I would magine that hard wood would be OK as it is all varnished and sealed now. The true problem would be whatever was used to clean the floor--but this is a problem whether the herps. are on hardwood or linoleum. We are very aware of household toxins and therefore only use safe, environmentally friendly cleaners on all of our household surfaces. You can't be too careful with loved ones--be they human, mammal, birds, reptiles or amphibians.

Hi Emily,
Sorry it took so long for me to notice your question. Samantha is between 26 and 28 inches long. She is difficult to measure as she prefers to coil. She is 9 1/2 months old. Her temperment is wonderful. We could not have purchaesd a better snake for our family.
