Hey all, I will be breeding my Leos in about a month or two and was wondering how I should have the tank set-up? I was thinking a 20L with a UTH on the left and a 50 watt heat bulb on the top right corner. Then Hides and such. I'll make a little picture of it in paint today when I get home from school. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.

I like to put the UTH and the heat bulb on the same side so that you have a warm side and a cool side.

Would a 20L be good for a trio? (Just trying to get some more eggs) Thanks guys!

20 galleon is fine for 1.2 leos aslong as there ate enough iding spots.

20g long is good for even more than 3 leos, but in general the more you add the higher the stress level will go. Leos don't go around each other - they just step right on each other's heads and things. Leads to pissed off lizards.
When I first rescued my colony of leos there were 8 adults in a 20gLong!!!! Poor things. Now they're in an 80 gallon long tank. :)

Lol thats funny. 8 of them in a 20? Man thats cruel...I think I'll stick with buying one female for now to see what happens..But what do I do when they hatch? I have a 10 gal I can put them in. They need the same temps as adults right? Thanks guys.

You should separate the babies after they hatch because it will be much easier to monitor their eating and their health. My plan is to use small rubbermaid containers and a UTH until they are big enough to give to good homes.
