Are eggs supposed to have a faint smell to them, or are they naturally oderless? My egg that had the problems has a small stink to it, but I think it always had. Just wondering if this is the beginning of the end for this egg.

I do not believe eggs have a smell. if you smell anything i would guess its just the humidity and the subsrate the egs are on mixing together.

I just smelled the Perlite and that has almost the same smell to it. I guess that's what it was! :) The egg is quite plump tho! If this thing hatches, I will have to keep it because of all the work I put into it! haha

I don't think they should have any smell. That usually means that the egg has "gone bad" but on occasion I have had some eggs with fungus hatch just fine-even though they got a bit smelly! Just don't give up. LoL, Julie.
