Pelee Island find - Blue Racer!

OK, I probably exaggerated my guess at 8 feet long :)

Beautiful specimen found sunning herself on our patio, our cabin is on the beach at the North bay. I have some BIG pictures of her but they were too big to upload here!

Whereabouts is your cabin? I'm quite familiar with the island. Does your family spend much time there?

I'll just say the snake looked a lot bigger in person. ;)

From the North bay ferry dock, it's about the 10th cabin down on the right. 2 cabins before the kayak rental. Sullivan Sails is the business name on the cabin!

My "family" spends much time there throughout the year, specifically my soon-to-be father-in-law and all his buddies. I've been vacationing there with them for the last 3 summers and fell in love on the first visit. So far I've always come at the end of June/early July. I'll be back annually at the very least. :)

Actually, thanks to Jeff (and Crystal) I'm lucky enough to have been in contact with two blue racers on the island.
