Hello :)
I finally got a battery for my cam to show off the girl Ive been talking about that I bought for $20 since the store owner thought it was too mean to sell to just anyone. As I said before her attitude pretty much left her when she had her last shed. She's a sweet heart but likes to put on a show every now and then ;)
Any way here are some pics of her and some of the scarring she has, the largest scar is about 3". Although she doesn't look it her last shed skin was measured at 3 feet give or take an inch or 2(it was missing the head).
Youll see a gray area in her pattern and I was wondering if that was her coloring or another scar?

Shes a beautiful snake its just a shame what she has gone thru so far. There a lot of tiny scars but I didn't wanna make too much of a fuss over them. I know that every one will say no but I have to ask anyway... will those scars ever go away?

How did all that happen?

Poor thing :(. Were you able to get a history on her? Those scars are pretty big, I wouldn't expect them to dissipate that much. As for her size, sheds lengths can be 175%+ the actual length of the snake. Glad she found a better home, good luck with her :)

I have no clue how they all happened. I know she has only been fed live food and thats all of the back ground I was given. I have no idea how old she is or anything. The only thing I can guess is some of the smaller scars are from eating live and maybe there was an unprotected light in her last owners cage. But I'm just guessing, the lady at the pet store couldnt tell me anything heck I don't even think she knew about the burns on the snakes belly and under her chin which gave her the crappy attitude.
Anyone know about that gray area? Im guessin its a scar but hoping for her sake its her coloring.
By the way Linds thanks for tellin me about the skins, I didnt think she looked that long. I guess I need to break out the string and do some measuring......
wow I was way off 30" how embarrassing

Not way off, just four inches.

Looks to me like heat mat burn scars. I have a royal python who has them on his belly, but not on the sides. Could have even been glass getting too hot in a basking spot.

They will reduce in time through sheds but probably never go away.
