What are you people using to incubate corn eggs?

I am torn between two options....

Making an incubator or allowing them to incubate on a shelf in my reptile room. Many people have told me both ways worked the best for them. Can anyone tell me their experiences?

Also, if I wanted to leave them in a warm spot in the reptile room would fluctating temps bother the eggs? By that I don't mean really cold nights and hot days but between 70-83/84 throughout the day.

Please tell me what you do! :)

Those temps will probably be o.k. although the low is a little low. I keep mine as near 82F as I can get. A lower temp will result in a bit longer incubation time. In my exp. as long as the lows aren't below 75F, it'll take a few days to a week longer to incubate but is preferable to above 82F because of shorter incubation time and hatch deformities.

O.k. cool....what about fluctuation between acceptable temp ranges though?

As long as they (high end or low end) are not kept for too long, you'll be fine in my humble opinion.

Marisa,

I'm using one I made. Check out the pics in my gallery if you're interested in seeing how I did it. I also included basic step by step instructions.
Cheers,
Trevor
