I had to go get the phone today and at the time i had my new bp in my hand. so i run to the phone and put the bp on our smooth table. i turn around after i picked up the phone and i saw the python moving across the table's surface in the exact same manner that a sidewinder rattle snake moves over the desert sand! it was soo cool. i just kept putting it on there to see it do it again, i watched for about 5 minutes. its amazing! its not as fast or as precise as an actual rattle snake can do it, but its definitly sidewinding. go try it! its awsome to see.
also has anyone else seen that? or is it just one of those weird quirky thing that ball pythons do.
another funny story. i had just gotten done misting all my cages and i see my 30 inch ball python stick its cute lil head out of its hide. it must have assumed that the small droplets where of good enough size that it was drinking water. so for 15 minutes it went all around the cage drinking water droplets. that was amazing by itself, but it actually drank water droplets from the sides of its WATER dish! it drank all over the bowl and somehow missed the actual water in the water bowl. i mean come on! its nose was less that a centimeter from it! so after watching it try to drink all the water droplets i showed it the bowl. its so cute the way it drinks!
well ball pythons sure do some crazy things! has anyone else witnessed them doing odd stuff either???

IT just because you put him/her on the table and she has nothing to grab hold on so she'll be moving faster the normal i saw it lots of times .

Well i think it's cool to watch but not cool for the snake !! So i never put them on the table or what so ever where they can't hold on 2 !

I think it's cool but I know it would stress the hell out of my snake (quite nervous little one) so I don't do it.
