Sorry no picture guys( I've got to buy a camera some day)
Are CB female layed 10 eggs this morning, 9 fertile and one slug so a 10 count all together.
This is great as the male we were unsure about as it's taken me 4 years to get him to breed.

Are first clutch was not fertile, so all seven were a nice snack for my nile monitor. :(

I'm incubating using NO substrate ** see Karel's site for details. www.Morelia.ca
This looks crazy but the temp/humidity don't move
at all(the incubator been on for 6 weeks) I hope this works! New can be very scary.

It's COFFEE, shake,shake,shake TIME.

i've seen karel's no-substrate incubation setup. it works for him and looks promising, cant wait to see how it goes for you.

Mardy, What is your humidity and what temp are you incubating at? I have recently switched from vermiculite to this technique, and my humidity in totally sealed containers is 80%. That is far from what I had exspected. I am incubating at 88 degrees.

I'm running 92% hum. and 87.8 temp.
My back up and 10% of my eggs are on vermiculite in the other incubator at 97% and 87.4

Keeping my fingers crossed, and I'll post up dates and pics.

James I was having the same problem with low hum.
so in the egg container I put egg crate on the bottom an a bit of water. It worked.

Sorry Mardy, not quit following you...are you using smaller internal containers inside the large one? Or do you just have the egg crate in the large container. How deep is the water in yours? Is the egg crate elivated by anything? I decided to scrap the smaller internal boxes and simple put the eggs dirrectly inside the main container on the egg crate. My water is about an inch deep.

Egg crate is the best. My friends and I have been using it for like 8 years now. Pretty much 100% hatch rate with everything except Chondros!

Best of luck.
