Probably just yawning... do you have any idea how long I've been trying to get a picture of a burm's gaping yawn? By the time I get the camera out, they're always done. :) Probably wouldn't hurt to check his mouth to make sure theres no substrate in it, just in case, though I doubt it, yawning or just resetting their jawbones isn't unusual.

I think sometimes they do that before a shed to help loosen the skin on it's head.

It is normal for snakes to yawn or thretch their jaws. Do not be alarmed about it.

I thought when they yawned it was because they were adjusting there jaws back in place. My corns do it all of the time.

After feeding, they do "yawn" to re=locate their bottom jaw back into place. This is usually done within an hour of feeding. Any other time, aside from having something in their mouth, such as substrate, it is just yawning. Do not be alarmed.

I'd agree with everyone else. It's normal.
