Frogs and mites?

I have noticed some small white bugs crawling around our red-eye tank on the clay pots that the plants are in. I was wondering if anybody has any idea what this is and could it be mites or just crickets breeding? I am kind of worried and would like some input as to what I should do.

What you are describing are wood mites. These are harmless to the animals, and more just a nuissance to the keeper :p They are very common in naturalistic vivaria. If you wish to get rid of them you will need to clean out your tank completley and bake just about everything, (the plants can be sprayed with a weak solution of water and dishsoap daily for one week, then rinsed thoroughly), and be sure that anything new is sterilized before it is added to the tank. Of course, no harm will be done if you just leave them be ;)

It makes sense since the tank has cypress mulch in it as a top layer

It could also be springtails. Also pesky but no problem for the frogs. You will know springtails if you blow on the bugs and you notice them hopping out the way. They're microscopic but you can still tell if they're jumping (with good lighting).

Don't spray any kind of soap into a frog tank - frog's skin is VERY absorbent and a tiny bit of soap can make them quite sick.

Thank you for pointing that out fr0glet! I neglected to mention that the plants should be removed from the enclosure prior to treating them :o
