My brother-in-law rescued an Eastern Garter snake from some kids in his neighborhood yesterday. Apparently they were getting rough with it with hockey sticks. He called me up and asked me if I wanted it. I promptly picked it up. Needless to say, he was pretty nippy (didn't get me though) and bad tempered. This snake had an old injury, it's tail was cut off approximately 1 " below the cloaca (sp?). It appears to have healed well and the snake seems to be in otherwise good shape. It has been at least 25 years since I've had a Garter Snake, so my question is does anyone know of some good sites to get info on the care of garters? I have 5 corns, but I'm sure that garters have their own set of care rules. Any help would be appreciated.

I think xeotox covered everything I could find, there were a few others but they were not very informative. Good luck.
