View Full Version : another one of my heady postings lol
Looking darkly upon Hector, swift footed Achillies answered,"I cannot forgive you, as there are no trustworthy oath's between men and lions, there can be no love between you and me.One or the other must fall before then ,to glut with his blood Aries who fights under a shields guard.Remember every valor of yours, for now the need comes hardest upon you to be a spearman and a bold warrior. There shall be no escape for you ,you will pay in a lump for all those sorrows of my companions you killed in your spears fury"
Just brining you the classsics
So who can tell me were this is from? and who wrote it?
nice little quiz.

Calm down now, they're just having fun... if you don't care you don't have to respond...
anyway, I have no idea who it is... ummm I'll say Walt Disney :D ... haha.
Kate
Yep, if you don't care, no need to respond that way. Just because you don't, doesn't mean no one does.
Anyway, the answer is:

LOL why waste time on typing who cares! Honestly, if you don't like it don't read it and better yet don't reply to it. Its like saying:

The Iliad of Homer

Thank you, thank you very much. And Lisa, my lord do you ever have a lot of posts. Did you edit it or doyou really have that many posts?
It's something that was written by Homer (the writer, of course), Kate. There were other translators of course, such as Samuel Butler. I knew it because I've read it before, and I thought I knew the answer so I looked it up, and was right. ;)

Wow, and I thought homer was just a cartoon character...
KATE! I'm shocked! It's a classic! I'm surprised you have not read this book in one of your English classes....
*shakes my cane at you*

Well done Zoe I woul have hoped others would have not resorted to google(I guess I was hoping some had read it and remembered reading it ,or It would spur others to actually read a book or a short story)We as a planet are forgetting some of the greatest written works.Every generation that comes after us looses more than we have and so on and so on.I fear that one day all the past will be forgotten.
Oh and as a point mykee I CARE what more is there to say?

I have that book. I've read a bit of it but didn't get into it enough. Has anyone here read the Divine Comedy? Great books!

I hope you didn't get offended by me saying that, just that is a LOT of posts LOL. It could be edited via the forum files on the server.
lol, what is with people replying to posts saying they don't care about them? Why spend the time to reply if you don't care? Are you supposed to care about each and every post? Do you reply "I don't care about this post" to each you don't? Why not write "I don't know" when you don't know the answer to someone's question? Yeesh.

Speaking of Homer, I read the Odyssey, I think it is one of the best books I've read! really cool...

Wow people, lighten up, I was kidding. Actually, I was having so much 'fun' reading the "Original Board of Inquiry" on Faunaclassifieds, that their ignorance and rudeness rubbed off on me for a while there. It seems that this site truly is a giaint, albeit dysfunctional family, seeing as how there were, like 10 posts chastising me on my comment. I was kidding. Sheesh.
