Okay... I think my next snake is gonna be one of the carpets. My 2 choices are either an irian jaya or a jungle. I just can't decide, though. They are bouth absolutely gorgeous... The IJ's have a nice deep red that fades into black bands... and omg *drool* wow! They're awesome! But the yellow and black on a jungle is just unbelieveably breath taking.
What do you guys think? Maybe you can give me as many reasons as possible on why I should get one over the other. Pics are appreciate as well. And Zoe, you're opinion is a definate must in this topic :).

Both are great snakes, but I prefer IJs. They are smaller (4-6ft versus 5-7+ft), easier to tame (jungles tend to be nippier) and I just love their colour pattern.
However, jungles are beautiful as well, it's really a matter of taste.
I'd take a look at some pics online and decide which you like better. Also, what size are you looking for? IJs are smaller, and range from 99% terrestial to 99% arboreal. Jungles are bigger, and I believe more arboreal. But it varies.
And does a little nippiness bother you? They are all nippy as babies, but my IJ's have never bitten me (well, once through a feeding mistake) or even struck, but the jungles I've met have been more put-offish :]

Either way, Rachel, you can't go wrong with a carpet!!

Yep! I looked at lots of pics before even posting ;). I honestly don't care about nippiness...but I don't like getting bitten (who does?).
I might just go with an irian. They're smaller and have an awesome color pattern as you said. I know exactly who to get one from... Will Leary... he has some smokin adults! His babies are sweet, too!
Jungles used to strike my eye a lot, but then when I started looking at Irians, and I saw they have a certain beauty that is different from other snakes. Plus they seem to have a better disposition as I've heard from other people. LOL hey, this didn't take me long at all :). Thanks...

I say you're right about the IJ's. I never thought of it before you said so, but it's true... IJ's have some kind of difinitive beauty that just works ya know. well said rachel.
