Hey all...Is it bad to have your tank next to the window? Mine is just below the window sill, the sunlight fills the tank, I have the window open sometimes too. Bad idea? Good idea? Thanks!

bad idea. the tank can overheat frying the poor animal inside. inless it isent getting direct sunlight then it should be fine but monitor the temps to see.

Temps r fine, I was just wondering about parasties or something entering the tank.

I dont think tht sunlight carries parresites (you may have to re-word what you said)

Other than the temp issue (overheating from sunlight and the cold wind blowing in), the only other problem I can think of is that your ball should have opaque hide in case it wants to hide from the light.

I dont think you need to worry about parasites. :)

Unless you are monitoring your temps very well, you may be getting very high or very low temps when you aren't even aware of it, ie at night or high noon. I'd play it safe and find another place for your tank.... :)

She has dark hides and temps are fine. I'll look for a place to relocate anyways. I just open the window to cool down my room.
