I will be filming a segment at Jungle Cat World for the TV show "Eye On Asia". This is a South Asian show they show on City TV on Saturday morning I believe. Basically I will be presenting some of the big cats that we have at Jungle Cat World and talking about conservation of these species. If this segment goes well then I will probably do another one for this show with reptiles.

Reptilez.. I know the owners of JCW pretty well. I met them through the people at Little Ray's reptile Zoo and I also spent some time there doing outreach with the big cats. Peter (Wolf and Krista's son) is in charge of the outreach program there and he is also the executive director of the Endangered Species Fund of Canada. He appointed me as one of the directors of ESFC last month so I will be working with JCW a lot more through my ESFC work. I contacted the people who produce Eye On Asia with my idea to do a animal segment for one show (much like what they do on Lenno or Letterman) and they were all for it.

PuNkuPoNAsTAR... I was there for a weekend in the summer doing soem outreach work with them while the summer camp was going on. Don't know if you saw me but I was the bloke with the shaved head and the brand new Honda Shadow 750cc motorbike... now that was a wicked ride from Ottawa to Orono on Highway 7! :) Awww man I miss my bike :( I want winter to be over so I can take it out of storage.

Yeah I think it is only in Canada. City TV is channel 15 here in Ottawa. it is based out of Toronto.

Don't worry though.. I have a feeling I will be on more shows in the future. About time we had a brown bloke doing animal shows on TV eh?;) We got Irwin, Corwin and O'Shea.. I think we need a Baz to add a spash of colour ;)

oh well it was a blast! I got to meet some really cool people (kate!) I hung out with the donkeys most of the time though LOL....they were the best.

Thanks Lisa, big cats are the bomb! I'm allergic to house cats but not big cats.. thank God! :) Big cats are amazing to work with.. I think I have some more pics of big cats in my photo gallery.

Peter was awesome... Jen and Ashley were the sweetest :D Everybody there was awesome....except for a counsellor or two who shall remain nameless > : ( lol....it was pretty cool :) We saw the BABY tigers! they were so cute...I think they were a week or two old then...how are they doing now?

Oh those 3 baby tigers? 2 went off to different zoos and JCW has a female one that they kept. hmm.. I thought that was after the summer though. The female they kept is a bit fiesty... i got a wicked pic of Ashley picking her up and the tiger is snarling at the camera looking well pissed off! lol. They grow like weeds so i can't wait to see her again and see how big she is when I go there next weekend.
