hello,

My female leopard gecko is now about 9 months old and wants to be handled. Here is my problem, I'm not very tall and my leos' tank is kinda high, so when I try to handle her I have some difficulty putting her back safely. Last time I was sure to kill her! when I came to put her back she fell but just barely clinged to the edge of her tank and then I picked her up again.

How do you propose I try to handle her? She seems to want to explor no matter what and when I try to stop her from going in some places she starts to run really fast, what can i do?

thanks!

I have the same problem (i think) i use a chiar to reach the top of my tank to pick up and put back my lizard.

hmm....put the tank lower? I know, 'thank you captain obvious...' lol .... Maybe you could just let it climb on and off your arm....takes patience ! Sorry, That's all I can think of :P

Have a little leo ladder from top of tank to bottom of tank. Place her on facing down and see if she climbs down. If she doesnt use treats to train her?

My vote goes for a stool or a chair, or lowering the tank if you can, or you could grow... ;)

ill opt for the stool because my room is very small and thats the only place I can put her.

PuNkuPoNAsTAR : She does climb on my arm to get out, but when i come to put her back in shes more agitated and it scares me to put her back that way.

Thanks,
SnowSnake

Ill go to the dollar store to get a stool :)
