View Full Version : Is this a cool idea or what?
My friend PE loves the internet because he can hear how breeders or longtime hobbyists care for their herps rather than those pet trade books which are often written by people who don't even keep that particular species.
So he's written a survey form where breeders and hobbyists can create their own caresheets so that herpers can compare how different folks prefer to keep their animals. It's a brand new project of his so right now there isn't that much info but I think it could be a good resource for newbies.
If anyone wants to try their hands at submitting a caresheet, feel free to check out Care Sheet Form (http://repticzone.com/caresheets/index.html)
I think its a good idea. More caresheets the better.

Anything that provides herpers with more information is a good idea!
Great! I submitted a few :]

I did as well. Easy ones though, just kings and corns. I am going to do one for Green Iguanas but damn that's a lot of writing.

Amen, Marisa!! I was also toying with the idea of an iguana caresheet, but just couldn't bring myself to write all that. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got to say.

^^ nothin beats more info!
Phew! Done with that. It took half an hour to write about my care of my iguana! LOL. And that was a SIMPLE story. I swear if I wrote all my thoughts actions and jobs that involve our iguanas I would have at LEAST 10,000 words if not more. They are so care intensive.

keep writing Marisa, the more the better! :D
Oh coolness! I see PE has some of the caresheets live already, and I'm so excited. I'm such a herp geek, lol.
Zoë, your caresheets are so awesome that I am just drooling over the idea of getting an IJ, even though they're not legal in my city. :(
I hope that other folks will feel like submitting caresheets, even if someone else has already done one on that species, because there is no one right way to do things in a lot of cases and it's great to get ideas from as many sources as possible. It's a great way to generate discussion, too and the more talk the better as far as a herp geek like me is concerned.
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort, guys!

I submitted a leopard gecko care sheet! I also asked him to add a plated lizard section so I could submit one there as well :D
