New to Field Collecting

I have a collection of 24 snakkes, but none are WC. I am looking forward to getting some good pics in this spring / summer with any luck. Can someone give me some pointers? When is the best time of year to hunt? (I Live in TN) Morning, Noon or Evening?

Not sure where in TN. but here in FL. once it warms to 70-- it's time to start looking. Early eves. may be best once it gets a little warmer. And try after an afternoon rain once summer is in full swing.
