We had a band concert tonight (sorry, I'm a band geek.)
We did really well - both myself and my fellow F Horn player nailed our solos, it was great... of course, for the 3rd year in a row, my dad didn't come. He knew a month in advance, and it was on our calendar... but oh well. I'm sure he has a reasonable excuse.
Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Happy to hear your show went well
Sucks that your dad didn't show again... It's alright to vent, I'd be pissed too if I was in your shoes! Maybe you should tell him how much it pisses you off?

Well, when I used to play sports, my parents never attended a single game. I played for voer ten years! How's that for bitterness... lol.
Glad you did well though. :)
Cheers,
JJ ;)

I'm sorry your Dad didn't show, but glad you guys did great! I always make it to my kids sports, programs, etc. because you never know what you (or they) might miss!
Sucks that your dad didn't show. Did he know how much his attendance meant to you (as in did you tell him)? well hopefully he'll show up for another event.

I know just how you feel. I played sports in school and my parents didn't come once. I was in a band and played 200 shows over the course of 3 years and they only came to one. I must admit, I am pretty bitter too. :)
It's one of my goals as a parent to be more supportive. I don't want to be one of those parents that comes to everything because I don't think that's what kids want, but I will come much more than my parents did. :D

I was never in a band but my parents missed alot of my stuff. It sucks when you're a kid and that happens, and sometimes it hurts when you're older and they still do it too.
Hope he comes next time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. ^^
I did tell him how much I wanted him to come, but it's no big deal... there's another one in May...
thanks for the support guys :)
