I am thinking about getting a couple of Leopard Geckos. I have doing a lot of reading on the web and I have not come across anything that talks about humidity. I have seen that you should have a humid hide box and should spray them when they are shedding, but nothing else. Is humidity with these guys important the way it is with snakes?
Someone please clue me in!!!!!!!!!!!

Having a humid hide box is definately a must for Leopard Geckos, without one you could have Leos that don't shed completely which could result in the loss of the toes. The remainder of the enclosure won't require any misting as they would normally retreat into humid burrows in the wild.

I agree. All you need is a humid box. If you are breeding you will also need a shed box (very similar). For a humid hide, I suggest getting one of those cheap ziplock disposable containers, the ones that look like rubbermaid but thinner and easier to cut through. Cut a hole in the side, put the lid on and flip it upside down do the lid is the floor of the humid box. Then line the lid with moist paper towel, or if you are using it as a shed box, moist vermiculite, available at most garden shops.
