anyways... I really like my redtail boa, and they are fairly easy to care for, given you can give it the space/food it needs. But i also own brazilian rainbow boas and they are awesome too. The only downpoint i see with them is that they have to be kept fairly humid. But if you keep them in a large rubbermaid this is done with a misting or two a day. As for whitelipped and bloods ive never had either,so i dont know what they are like.
Well...I dont think that helped at all, but i just thaught id say something slightly useful.

I've recently been handling some adult whitelips this past week, and they honestly are amazing snakes to work with!
whether its there awsome head, there thin yet very muscular body, or that awsome irredescense, theres just something about them.
And they can be tame as adults, trust me!
as for bloods, another good choice! (allthough im bias)
if space constraints is an issue as well as high humidity go for a white lip as there a little less demanding, but just as beautiful.

Colombians are good too!
Very easy to care for and are more forgiving of husbandry mistakes until u perfect it.
these are definately the more personable of the three.

All in all, 3 great choices. what were swaying towards?

My fav. on that list are Brazilians....if you decide to go that route, just make sure you keep em hydrated, other than that, they are easy, and they are an amazing spp.

good luck!

Is this going to be your first snakes? That should weigh into the final decision.

Rachel: Most of this thread was moved due to content. I think Bryce asked a decent question and deserved to get some genuine responses.

Bryce.... sorry I can't answer this one for you as I'm not the snake person around here... for what its worth, my vote would be for the Columbian!

Right now I am thinking borneo short tailed pythons and grant I have 2 snakes so I have experiance I would like some white lips but They seem to be hard to find so i may have to wait on them untill they become avaible locally since I hate shipping snakes unless its completely nessary because i like to see what i am paying for

Borneos would be a great choice Bryce :)

If local is what your looking for, check out Henry Piorun, i believe he still has some available.
And they are nice light coloured ones.
they have been a great species to work with in my experience.
